Melamine-faced plywood
Rated E0, and it holds up to heat and damp
Plywood — layers of natural timber laid crosswise and hot-pressed with adhesive — under a melamine facing that carries the colour and texture.
It is durable, takes heat and damp well, resists scratching and water, and wipes clean. It is rated E0, the lowest formaldehyde class.
